It's a rant, folks.

The Jawas link to an absolutely spot-on assessment of the handling of the Fort Hood jihad.

In short, and I would say that this agrees with my jihad-heavy study of Islam, the idea is that without understanding the threat, another Fort Hood is exponentially more likely. I am so tired of the left popping off with their "all religions are violent/cause conflict/blah blah f'ing blah." Until someone can point to nunneries training children to hate and priests advocating forced conversion, they can just STFU about comparing Christianity, or Hinduism, or Buddhism, or any other religion, to the WIDESPREAD, CURRENT problem of Islamic jihad. And don't bring up the IRA and claim "well Christians did that durrr"... Muslim jihadis are not people claiming a religion doing things for tertiary objectives (i.e. the IRA being a Maoist Irish nationalist group), they are people doing things for Islam. There is a difference. The left calls us fearmongers, then turn into fucking ostriches and put on their anti-white-nationalist foil hats, because, you know, the Klan is coming back dude. Muslims? No, no real threat there.

Where do we draw the line between self-defense and xenophobia? I don't think we've toed it yet. Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib? That's the best that the left and jihadist-apologists can offer as the crimes of the dastardly Bush regime? Fucking get real. The left's heads are collectively rammed so far up their own asses that all they can see anymore is their own self-reinforced theorizing. Besides being the first black President, the only thing I can say that I really like about Obama is that he is definitely demonstrating the advanced lunacy that is part and parcel to modern academia. He is SO representative of everything that I've encountered in higher education, and I just wish that it hadn't taken electing a "purebreed" academic for the modern American public to understand that experience, even if it is running a baseball team that pops bought ya, means more than sitting around talking with theoreticians about how you could solve ALL of the world's problems, if only someone would just give you the chance.
